The Journal of Forensic Identification is a scientific journal that publishes articles related to forensics. Such articles are written by forensic authorities from around the world who are practitioners or academics in forensic science fields.

Examples of articles include case studies of closed criminal cases, evidence collection, crime scene processing, bloodstain pattern interpretation, footwear and tire track preservation and examination, latent print processing techniques, fingerprint comparison, forensic photography, forensic art, and general forensics. Full color printing is provided without charge to the author.

The JFI is published quarterly and hard copies are distributed during the first two weeks of the second month of each quarter. Circulation of the JFI is in excess of 7,000 hard copies, which are mailed to members and subscribers throughout the world.

Electronic copies of the JFI are also available at many universities through the university’s EBSCO Criminal Justice database service. It is also indexed by the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (www.ncjrs.gov).(www.ncjrs.gov).
